Re: Happy Valentine's Day

Wow Hoop, nice work! Two questions:

1. Column 2, Row 2 and Column 4, Row 2: How did you do that?

2. Column 5, Row 2 looks EXACTLY like the cupcakes my wife made me last year for Valentine's Day. Are you secretly my wife? I hope so, because then I get those cupcakes. Yum.

Re: What is Budgetcore?

I would say lead-ins shouldn't count for budgetcore. Just to clarify, what do you mean by "shouldn't count"? 1. The air should be freely usable and not count towards the total budget since it did not cost meat or 2. The air cannot be counted as usable since a true budgetcore player would mallsell it

Well, 0lb Hound + Sympathy + Sugar Shield + Mad Looting brings that to 85%. If I'm using the Pool Table init buff for sewerleveling, that brings it up to 90%.

Still, it is another reason for me to make Phat Loot a priority.

What is Budgetcore?

(My apologies to anyone who now has Haddaway stuck in their head. Or does now, after reading the previous sentence.) (This discussion focuses primarily on softcore, since HC budgetcore is pretty clearly defined, although the slimeling is still questionable). I've been giving some thought to budgetco...

Re: Pantsless's 11-skill 4-day HC planning thread

Thanks for the input Kirkpatrick. That's too bad, this would have been awesome. Thoughts for the future? I'd like to try again, but I think it's going to wait until after the (hopefully soon?) lead-in revamp, since I really don't want to risk spending 10+ days on a lead-in just to get screwed by an ...

Re: Pantsless's 11-skill 4-day HC planning thread

How's the run going? Long story short, real life got too busy and the run has suffered; I simply haven't had time to play my turns and I've been losing them to rollover. It won't be a 4-dayer at this point, though of course I've learned a few things that'll help for my next attempt. Oh, and I spent...

Re: Pantsless's 11-skill 4-day HC planning thread

I know it's not advice, but I really appreciate this in-depth breakdown of your run. I'm trying to improve my run speeds, and I think following this basic guide should speed up my runs considerably. Glad to be of service. Though you might want to wait to see if it actually works before thanking me....

Re: Pantsless's 11-skill 4-day HC planning thread

Thanks for all the feedback so far. Sounds like the consensus is overwhelmingly in favor of AT, and the logic is sound, so I think I'll go with that. I'll update the Day 1 Roadmap to reflect the assumption that I'll have an accordion (which I had honestly forgotten about when I was originally thinki...

Re: Pantsless's 11-skill 4-day HC planning thread

This whole sniffing for hearts things kind of freaks me out, but I'm not sure how best to handle that--I guess the whole run is kind of freaky, which is pantsless's specialty. Are you saying I am the Rick James of speed ascension? :) If you can get to level 4 with questing, would it be worth going ...

Re: Pantsless's 11-skill 4-day HC planning thread

Thanks for your input lost. Poppers seem useful enough on their own to get divine items. Yeah, at this point I'm pretty much just waiting to make sure the new libram isn't so ridiculously overpowered that I'd never want to summon anything else. You mention fat loot but don't mention mad looting, whi...

Pantsless's 11-skill 4-day HC planning thread

Hey all, I'm going to try a 4-day HC run. I'll be ascending February 1st, putting the stat days 3/4. I would very much appreciate any advice at all. Here's what I have so far: Skills and Familiars: http://bumcheekcity.com/kol/profile.php?u=pantsless I'm also going to have SHC. Libram skills: I only ...

Honestly, I wouldn't even care about that. I have my junk. I would just like to see everyone else emancipated from this stupid requirement so we can all get on with our speed runs.
Couldn't agree more.

Re:

Personally, I love fresh, real lime juice. I am rarely, if ever, without a lime or two in the fridge. I like making fresh squeezed limeade in the summer. I want to add something vaguely on-topic for this thread, so I'll tell a quick anecdote from back when I used to tend bar. A guy came up to the b...
