I want to also do the DoD tomorrow so I can get a wand to zap ores. Going to try that this run and see how it goes, since I hate that portion of the L8 quest. Re: Whym's HCNP AT (Wallaby) - 4/814

Double post is bad I know, but i've got a question this time. Im playing my day2, in a similar attempt, and hitting level7 at 185 seems insane, i might be 15 turns behind that, unsure. How?! D: Capros EDITS: I'd like to add something. Having done day2, i hit level 7 a turn behind you :p So, my earl...

Hmpf, I'm still waiting to get my hands on the book - I definitely won't make the deadline :( Same for me. The local library doesn't have it, so my other option is to get an e-book. I have to admit that I'm eager to read the book even if I miss the deadline. The discussion so far makes it sound lik...

Whym's HCNP AT (Wallaby) - 4/814

eta: 4/814 Not quite meeting my goal, but that's a personal best by ~20 turns and the fastest <30 skill run by the same! Still a little disappointed as, by the middle of day 3 I was expecting sub 800. Next time, next time. I'll post the rest of the log when I get a chance. eta2: koldb says this is t...

Re: 10 skill 4 day HCNP, is it doable?

Part of the reason I hold low-skill runs in such high esteem (besides the fact that I do them, so kind of have to believe they're worth doing) is that you are not only missing skills, but 1) you're also missing a lot of practice and practical experience, and 2) you have a limited number of shots, p...

Sorry to see you didn't hit your goals, but congrats on placing. I didn't even do my run, after all. :) Where to now? Im gonna perm some more skills, in time for a speed attempt early december! I'm planning to make up for my missed run this upcoming moxie days. (I think it's the 18th/19th) You shoul...

Re: Low-skill hardcore strategy bifurcation

Bander does a little bit, as it enables sewer leveling for lowish-to-mid-skilled ascensions, but the state of the game, I think, is now that by the time you get enough skills that you can level with a snatch instead of a hipster, you should be thinking about skipping liver, which obviates the need ...

Awesome run, Icelight! I'm glad I put some meat on you in the betting pool. :) It looks like you can probably get away with fewer (or no) SR consumables in the future. How many turns did you have at the end? It's already an awesome run for skillcount. If the beach were kinder it would have been amaz...

Re: Modran DitR AT Vole Run

Hey Modran, good luck in the run! A few comments: Your log is missing a bunch of turns from 52 to 68 and from 72 to 90. It looks like you hit the new Tavern at that point? You're probably using an older version of Mafia that didn't recognize the zone. Eat your fortune cookie earlier. (seriously, why...

Nice run and run log, Whym. =) Just to let you know... your bcc profile link is asking for a password. Thanks! Hopefully other people can learn from my screw-ups. :) Apparently, I messed up the public view when I was changing settings. It should be working now. link , and I edited the first post.
