Re: Combat Selection Spading With Conditional Monsters

I don't know quite what your overall goal with this spading is, but if "cataloging and documenting all of the variegated and interesting ways that all of the variegated and interesting forms of queue manipulation interact in all of the variegated and interesting zones in KoL" exists on your list of ...

Re: Level 9 Quest Revamp Knowledge

Thanks for the speedy compilation of knowledge! One small thing that may be worth including: Lost said he did the oil peak with 200+ ML and ended up with 10 or 11 of the bubblin' crudes (i.e. not enough for a jar). The Dusken Raider Ghosts drop a (smash & graaaghable) Duskwalker syringe -- a combat ...

Re: Kolproxy: a new game interface

I almost forgot, the compression when I jumped through the gash yesterday looks like it worked perfectly with the statically linked libbz2. I didn't see any run-time errors at the time and the log unpacks just fine now.

Re: Kolproxy: a new game interface

./kolproxy-v3.2-linux: error while loading shared libraries: libbz2.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory This is my first time trying to use kolproxy in Fedora, which I just installed right before I moved a week ago. Missing a library doesn't look like a big deal, and I...

Re: Lost's mafia builds

There were a bunch of recent changes that didn't merge well with any file that had changes of its own, so I'm not surprised. I've always (well, always for the last year anyway) wondered why ~/kolmafia-b$ patch -p 0 <patchname.patch would never work unless it was a patch that I had made myself. I ju...

Re: Lost's mafia builds

I'm patching issues as I find/hear about them, so let me know if something goes wrong. It looks like that problem I was having last night stopped happening after I finally tricked it into logging in successfully that one time. I'm super enthusiastic about this kolmafoxy hybrid now that I've actuall...

Re: Hardcore Trophies

I've done two runs that are really close to what you're planning, so here's my two cents from personal experience. I did the golden meat stack and good will punching trophies by farming the hell out either 0 or 1 sidequest wars. Sniffing the green clay bead and white class ring droppers and running ...

Re: Camp Scout Backpack

I got everything except the bag of QWOP in-run yesterday. Since it's the last thing on the list, and the items apparently drop in order, I'm guessing I just didn't use enough turns to reach it. I've been wondering about this. I haven't seen anyone say anywhere what specifically the order is. Do you...

Re: nworbetan's 11/1511 Sauce BM

Okay I might have had some completely different but equally indefensible reason for not doing it on day 6. That was the first thing that popped into my mind when I skimmed the log though, so I could have easily made that same bone-headed mistake more than once.

Re: nworbetan's 11/1511 Sauce BM

Yeah, day 7 liver... It looks like I started the Azazel quest on the end of day 5 and then drank so much at the start of day 6 that I couldn't have drank the margarita on day 6 anyway and just didn't even bother doing the quest until day 7. Like I said, I wasn't really trying for a speed run. :p I d...

nworbetan's 11/1511 Sauce BM

The 2 things that stand out in my memory about this run were: a) Spending 97 turns in the Treasury farming meat for guild skills is mostly a waste of turns, and I should have moved on and started using serum of sarcasm sooner. Right around the time I was doing that (day 5) I remember being pretty fa...

Re: Kloop Quest ASH script - Not Ready Yet

I still haven't done the Kloop quest yet, but I think I heard that the bosses show up when you're able to kill them. Assuming that's true, it looks like putting your macro into a ccs will probably work the easiest with your script. set_property("battleAction", "custom combat script") and set_propert...

Re: Kloop Quest ASH script - Not Ready Yet

Do you want the combat macros hard coded into the script, or would you prefer that they stay separate, like in their own .ccs file? There's a bunch of different right ways to script combat, and it's hard to say that any of them are the easiest.

Re: slimeme.ash - suggestions and requests are welcome

I'm currently ~120 turns into an empty bucket run, and both that and the more efficient tickle-slime-covered combo worked flawlessly so far. So I updated the OP with my current version of the script and preferences I'm running with.

Re: slimeme.ash - suggestions and requests are welcome

I can't really call familiar equipment a sticking point. I'll definitely call the hookah specifically (and 3 AT song limit) a potential sticking point though, if mafia decides that's what it wants to auto-equip, and if you decide to let mafia auto-equip... something. My thoughts on making the low ml...

slimeme.ash - suggestions and requests are welcome

The tl;dr: if any of y'all are interested in using this fiddly slime tube script, let me know what it's missing and I'll do what I can to accomodate your needs. But before you do that, I think the easiest way to get a feel for how this script works is to take a look at the preferences. Here's what I...

Re: Introductions...

Hi, I'm, uh, really bad at saying hi, and also at introducing myself, and I use a lot of commas, but I'm especially good with run-on sentences. Of all the things in the world I enjoy, talking about myself is very very low on the list. (My IRL is kind of a mess lately.) I've been having a lot of fun ...
