Re: Raccoon's thread of (mostly fiction) book reviews

Stephensons books always take me forever to read. I really liked Cryptonomicon, and I followed that up with Reamde which was very strong until like halfway to two thirds of the way through it. At that point it started to come undone a bit.

Re: Didlo's 5/877 SC KOLHS SC run

GAP is still really good, if a bit expensive since it's old and was the last equipment to come out with the free runaways. I don't know if it will go down, I thought about selling it and buying it back later but I don't think I want to take that risk. Most of the GAP buffs are useful for different t...

Re: DidloDiddly's attempted 4-day SC S KOHLS DiTR

The extra dream jar isn't a big deal since you can use it on day 2 instead. Ideally you'd want to use your astral drinks at level 11, so days 2-4 probably, or 2 in one day by using a mojo filter. I guess it depends on your turngen if that extra couple adv is worth it.

Re: Mausoleum's DitR Softcore KOLHS TT Run Log

Glad you could participate! Looking good so far. Maybe after the run I can give some overall feedback. Quick hits for day 1 though in the meantime: -I'd pull a canemail shirt instead of the heavy metal shirt if you have one and can handle the extra ML. It also gives +meat for the nuns. -pull the ore...

Re: College football 2013 season

Yeah my boys at ASU stomped all over USC last night. They gashed us for some long TD runs but it felt good to crush them so hard they fired their coach hours later.

Leafygreens' 4/415 SCO P for SoS IV

Here is my log for my 4/415 SCO P run, I hadn't done an Oxy run before so that was intimidating but it all worked out. Made some mistakes but I'm too tired to comment on the log, maybe later I'll add them in. I ended with 9 leftover pulls and plenty of adv (from borrowed time I created but didn't us...
