It lost about 30 damage in this BM run. It doesn't necessarily beat you up (and in BM, what are you going to do for sleaze? Limerick dungeon for dungarees, I guess.)

When you use a ratchet report the state of the lower pyramid. How about it tells you how many more ratchets/wheel turns you need to finish the pyramid? I assumed delay would be 5 turns since it is between 0 and 10. I think I must have messed up my math somewhere to get the numbers I posted. My thoughts were like this... (5 turn delay + 10 turns for the NC) *3 = 45 then with Smooth, too (5 turn delay + 8 turns for the NC) *3 = 39 Maybe I just typoe...

54 turns to get the items vs. 39 expected with -5% combats. Unlucky there but nothing extraordinary; it's swingy and has delay. Perming Smooth Movements will help (33 expected, less variance). I'm just curious what assumptions you were using about delay(). 85% base combat...sonata makes it 80%. Eac...

Not raying would've freed up one for the miner (5-6 turns saved). True, but it also would have cost me my end of the day Yellow Ray. The bonuses over the Epic Weapon (which is totally worth making to get boxen) are +4 Myst (so 0.6 spell damage), +10% init, and +10% food. Those are not near enough to save the 10 turns spent in the Fun House, let alone the Yellow Ray used. Wow, those stats do make the LEW look kinda pointless to g...

At SS I was comparing the all-time best vs. a guy considered terrible (by the "serious" statisticians). Realistically, you're not going to see a 30 run/year difference at SS. I think part of the problem w/football and football stats/metrics is the intrinsic team nature. The Patriots have also been one of the big trade downers in recent years. It also depends on what you're looking for though. Re: maxi118's HCNP DB (Wallaby) - comments

Perm: Smooth movements is the most useful perm. That 40 turn friars is much less likely (though I had 74 turns for the 3 parts running Sonata the entire time). +/-Combat skills are pretty handy. Leveling up: You have moxious Madrigal, and w/VIP key you can buy a snorkel and get +10 moxie. You should...

Re: Lotsofphil HCNP SC (Mongoose) - AFH:ETS

As for the reodorant, use it in the F'c'le? That sounds reasonable. Might be an idea to save F'cle until you're doing the Hidden City too in case you have any +com left over Or before setting the ballroom song. That's what I've been doing lately. Depends on where you fit it in, and survivability in...

No, it's totally alright! I need all the help I can get when it comes to strategy, and all that you mentioned is good information. I had totally forgotten about wereseal. Wow. I need to get on the wiki and so some research about that stuff. Also in that vein-- Seal summoning: Worth it? It doesn't t...

Re: CosmoCornelius' HCNP AT Wallaby COMPLETED 6/1258

Yes, option 4, skip the beach. Duh. I should have been able to remember that one. With Musk though no more skipping so everything else still applies. With only 1 source of +combat (+1 reodorant), you're looking on average for a 22 turn beach (this assumes you found 2 manbearpigs, i mean lobsterfrog...

Re: CosmoCornelius' HCNP AT Wallaby COMPLETED 6/1258

Well done! You've gone from 9 days to 7 to 6 in 4 ascensions. That is very good. For the beach, there are three things I can think of 1) YR more hippies for more reodorants. I YR 3 hippies. That usually gets me done with the beach in 35 turns or so. It's a pain to fit all those in, but with no scop...

The YR won't make the Blackbird part drop (assuming that's what you were going for). They're a 50% base drop rate, so with Mad Looting and a 30lb fairy its 97% drop rate.

whore_moans 7/1219 PM SLUT run

BCC: http://bumcheekcity.com/kol/profile.php?u=whore_moans That might be a couple of ascensions old. Ode was the latest perm. Llama was on 2nd ascension, obviously 1st for BBB. I had a really hard time getting to 4. Should I be zapping in the garden? Will it just be easier once Sympathy and/or Torso...

I'm calling this my Clark Kent run (no Hero). Nice! Wow, what a slog parts of that ended up being! Good job for sticking to it and the log. :) Cyrus really isn't a great flyering target even when things go well there. It's better to save the pyramid and / or the HitS and just flyer them plus the ot...

Thanks again for the support. Indeed, I suggest Hero before Sympathy, however, if you're planning on doing BM runs, I'd suggest clovercore DB, kittycore DB, HCNP AT/DB, BM TT (perm hero). Comments on your today: - Christ, the DoD screwed you, didn't it? When you perm +NC skills, that'll hurt less. D...

Right, let me give you some information from someone who goes vaguely fastish but not really that fast. In no particular order: - DON'T underestimate the value of clovers. Olfacting brainsweepers then clovering smart skulls is a speedy way of doing things. You expect about 2 turns to get a clover, ...
