Crimbo elf drops

Post by Kelemvor » Tue Dec 15, 2009 12:47 am

Not sure if anyone is interested in this, since the drops appear to be nothing special, but here are my data points for the day:

220% item drop
50 elves fought
50 resistance buttons found (31-100% base drop)
7 elven cellocello (4% base drop)
11 elven suicide capsules (7% base drop)

276.23% item drop

(In case the elves have different rates I'll split them up)

saboteurs - 8 (8 buttons, 4 capsules, 2 cellocellos)
raconteurs - 9 (9 buttons, 2 capsules, 3 cellocellos)
provocateurs - 12 (12 buttons, 4 capsules, 4 cellocellos)
amateurs - 11 (11 buttons, 3 capsules, 2 cellocellos)
auteurs - 9 (9 buttons, 2 capsules, 1 cellocello)

Total - 49 (49 buttons, 15 capsules, 12 cellocellos)

New Data:
1. +150% (=>250% total) is enough to guarantee elf resistance buttons drop.

2. You can finish Don's day 1 quest on day 2, get reward (250 for quest; 250 for buttons) and immeditely start his second quest and fight more elves on the same day :)

150% Item Drop

saboteurs - 9 (9 buttons, 2 cellocellos)
raconteurs - 8 (8 buttons, 1 capsule, 2 cellocello)
provocateurs - 9 (9 buttons, 1 capsule, 1 cellocello)
amateurs - 11 (11 buttons, 3 caspules, 1 cellocello)
auteurs - 8 (8 buttons, 1 capusle, 2 cellocello)
monkey wrenchers - 9 (9 buttons, 2 throwing wrenches)

If the button's drop rate is 40%, 150% would be just enough to guarantee it. Probably try 149% tomorrow, depending on my other goals.

Excellent. I was worried people would get screwed if they missed a day.

I didn't have time to take detailed notes today, but I did notice that I didn't miss any button drops with 125% +items.

I just spent my 50 turns @ +110% item drops, and got 40 out of 50 buttons.
