Hello, I'm Heliophage, and I believe I've posted in this thread once before when I was visiting for a contest quite a while back. In any event, it can't hurt to say hello again since I've been invited.

I'm the sort who started with HC straight away and stayed with it, and I can reliably turn in a nice 5 day if I can muster up the time to play through all my turns every day. A 4-day still eludes me just a bit, so I've been thinking it would be nice to make a proper attempt soon. In the immediate future, though, I'll be assailing the heights of HCO in hopes of not bombing out of my latest contest attempt too early.

Greetings, folks - I'm Jeff! Currently slowly working my way through the budgetcore HC contest, and having "fun" doing without my recently-acquired Mr. Familiars. :D Looking to start breaking into single-digit daycounts soon, and having a blast trying!

Hey all,

I'm Freddie, aka Genius, 22 year old graduate in BSc (Hons) Media Technology.

Currently unemployed and looking for a job in the industry!

Got a holiday booked to Florida in June so if any clammies live near International Drive, give me a shout? ;) haha.

I'm a hardcore player, just completed my fastest run, cutting my day and turn count in one run. 12 HC skills, soon to be 13 when I ascend.

Pausing my ascension because I want another telescope certificate!

If anyone has questions feel free to ask, I'm easy to chat to and easy going!

Thanks for accepting me into the clan.

Hello guys. I'm the same name in-game, because at one point in the past I thought this was a cool name.

My interests are mainly softcore ascension, skill perming, and clan basement. I kind of switch between them from time to time. I recently came back from a year-long break from KoL and I'm looking to get into stuff again. Currently, I'd like to set a personal best of 3 days in SCNP, and I think I might be able to get there soon.

Welcome to Heck! I saw you in clan chat earlier, but I didn't have enough time to jump into the conversation and say "Hi!" So, "Hi!"

Now gogo 3-day! (There are many Heckers/Hellions who can, and would be happy to, help with that :) )

I grew up in Atlanta, so yes, I've heard of Decatur! (I grew up there a while ago, and "Decatur" always reminds me of a really annoying TV ad for a bank from the early 80s: "De-ca-tur Federal Savings and Loan: get the bug!" They had a caterpillar or something as their mascot, the "savings bug," and apparently you got a stuffed one for free when you opened up a savings account with them.)

I live outside Atlanta (Snellville if you've heard of it) when I'm not at school, so I definitely know of Decatur.
Also, sweet tea.

I'm not much for introductions at all, so i'll just say when i'm not in aftercore i'm probably ascending SC. I hope one day AFHk can even help get me up to 2 day runs.

Hi everybody...I'm not actually in the clan, but I do enjoy reading your forums. Certain people in my clan seem to like to bug you guys, so I figured I'd do the same.

I enjoy SC ascending but don't often have a lot of RL time to play, so I gravitate toward semi-lazy 100% familiar runs. I also find Bees Hate You to be a welcome time-saver. Once I can use my SC ascensions to build up some HC skills, I'll probably switch over. I also try to make everything about my character based on a Homestar Runner theme, but I've been struggling to come up with enough familiar names.

Hi! I'm FD but you can call me Emily. I'm from Tucson, AZ and have lived here all my life (but yet still haven't gotten used to the terrible summer heat). I am currently studying Environmental Science with a focus in soils at the University of Arizona and will be a junior this fall. I've been playing KoL for a long time (since 2005 I believe) but I've only recently gotten back into ascending mostly thanks to A Boy and His Cutlass and Klimtog (although school may not permit me to do too much once it rolls back around).

I'm newly white-listed to AFHk and am currently working on learning to do 2-day runs and collecting lucre to finally get olfaction. I can't wait to meet you guys in clan chat one of these days!

Ahoy! My name is Trevor and I'm from Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I've been playing for about three years now and I take this game way too seriously! :) My main (SpiderMcFly) primarily satisfies my completionist streak while gathering the requisite skills for some HC speed ascending.

StevieRay is a newer account to explore SC speed. I'm behind the 8-ball on old gear and familiars, but hopefully I can collect the key ingredients as I perm some skills.

I'm hoping I can pick up some tips and meet some people interested in the speed game; I love the folks in my home clan, but they are mostly casual players. :)

Thanks for having me!

Hello to all the people of AfH from texas! :stupac:

I started KoL about 3 years ago off and on, and made this account (SATC) in 2010 as a speed ascending account. I joined Bonus Advs from Hell and figured this would be the next step up in finding better strategies to hack away at large chunks of my ascension and get faster and faster as time goes on.

It's kind of short, but that's all I can think of for now.
Sincerely yours,
Soft At The Core

Good evening,

My names Sean. I'm 23 years old and am currently station in San Antonio, TX. I am a Staff Sergeant in the Army (Efff yeaaaa) and am currently racing like hell to finish my degree before my enlistment is up. I'm a gamer from a very young age, and am a recovering WoW addict (Sad, I know). I played KoL back in 2005, but lost access to that account after not playing it for 3 years and forgetting the password to it and the email it was registered to. I really like soccer and rugby. I love sports and mountain biking (so if you are near San Antonio and like to bike, let me know). Unfortunately, I'm uncoordinated like a mo'fo so all I was ever really good at was running. I have a full bar in my apartment, so I don't really have much of a reason to go out and party (I'm engaged and my fiance' is attending a masters program in Oklahoma, so going out just gets me in trouble). I've been deployed a couple times, and because of that I probably have one of the sickest / demented senses of humor around. I know that some people don't appreciate that though, so I try very strongly to be nice and polite. I really look forward to improving my HC game, I'm definitely HC for life. I believe I'm at the point where I understand most of the mechanics I need to, I just need to be reminded / implemented a lot. My job with the Army here keeps me busy and sends me on TDY (trips) a lot, so I have severe real life time restrictions on how much I can play (which leads to many in game mistakes). I am a straightforward guy, and look forward to learning and getting to know all/some of you.

If you feel like chatting about books, working out, irish carbombs, yadda yadda, let me know. I'm generally pretty bored and slightly inebriated, so I can carry a conversation.

Long days and pleasant nights to you all.

-Sean

-Sean

My degree is a Bach of Science in Environmental Engineering. At the moment, I am fully planned to get out of the Army in a few years and use my GI bill to chase a Masters, but that's down the road a ways yet.

I chased too many short skirts in college the first time, and it let me to coming into the Army as an enlisted. I'm ready to try again!

I used to have 3 characters in 2006 that only farmed the Icy Peak, then quit the KoL.

A year and a half ago, I went back to the game and stuck with HC since.
Recently, I've been chaining 4-day HCNP AT runs(and not miss a bounty) and was invited by Whore_Moans.

Now I'm perming more skills to prepare myself for special runs, especially challenge runs.

Heya, folks.

Just recently joined - I've been playing since way back, but only recently got into speed ascending, spurred by reading RoyalTonberry's 4-day guide and saying to myself "I can do that." Right now I'm working on getting my slime skills, which is tedious, since I feel like time spend outside of a run is kind of wasted. :P

I'm definitely interested in learning and improving my run speed - I'm hoping to one day put up a 3-day HCNP run, but I don't know that that's a reasonable goal.

Outside of the game, I'm a generally geeky gamer type, I play board games and video games and tabletop RPGs with my friends and my girlfriend, when I'm not working ridiculous hours.

*shrug* I'm just zis guy, you know?

Looking forward to meeting all of you,
-Mojonix

Hello everyone, I'm Jireh, Jireh18 in game. I am 19 years old and am currently a junior biology student. I have been playing KOL for almost 6 years now. I have been interested in speed ascension especially softcore. Ironically, i spend a lot of time in aftercore because school prevents me from doing runs and I need to farm a Mr. As worth of meat every month since I can't donate because 10 dollars is a pretty big amount in the country where I live.
I am able to comfortably do 3 day SC runs and might venture into 2 days when I have the time. I want to learn more about speed ascension and hopefully, be able to do leaderboard worthy runs.

Welcome, jireh! Hopefully you can learn a lot from us and put up some good runs.

Hi there - Bodhi here, cubicle grunt who plays KoL way too much.

I'm a speed ascender, but still lag behind you folks.

Hoping to pick up some tips to help the clan continue it's leaderboard domination!

Hello, people.

I'm Josh, from Duluth, Minnesota. Been playing KoL this time (had previous inactive accounts) for about two and a half years now. Used to be in Old CW's, where I did a lot of dungeon work, including managing a few hamster runs. Oh, and I collect breath mints. In the game of course, although who doesn't like altoids?

I've been stepping up my speed game this year; turned in a 4/747 HCNP Pasta run just before joining, and have surprised myself by actually planning runs around leaderboards.

A year ago I wouldn't have considered that to be a realistic option, so I'm quite happy with my progress, and glad to join a speed-oriented community.

See you in chat!

Hi there.

I'm littlelolligagged - the preferred method of shortening that is lolli, but I'm pretty sure I've heard it all, so just call me whatever makes you happy and I'll probably answer.

I'm also lousy at introducing myself, but I've spent some time in chat since whitelisting over from Old CW's to check y'all out. Just wanted to say hello here as well, because there are many people I have not met yet.
