To help facilitate random local meets, or otherwise familiarising each other with ourselves, I present... A MAP! As more people are added, we may add some additional filtering or colour coordination.

To be added to the map post, PM, kmail, etc, the following information:
(1) Player id and player name
(2) Home / primary clan
(3) Name, address & brief description of a local establishment you enjoy.

I do not expect (nor want!) your personal address or phone number, rather places you'd like to share with the rest of the world. Additionally, if there are any notes you'd like added about this place, please note so accordingly. Ideally the places are close enough that someone visiting an area could say "Oh hey, player X is in this city, we could totally do their recommendation and visit place Y!".

I hope to visit some of you at your local favourites in the near future!

I third this as absolutely delish. Small spencer medium rare, yum yum. (The small spencer is their ribeye, and small is huge).

No, this is good. Imo's is bad. Toasted Rav is OK. But Ted Drewe's is good (and really close to where I live now).

Completely agree that Imo's is totally, outrageously, completely over-rated. I didn't grow up in St. Louis, so perhaps I don't "get it". But to me, pizza is not "cracker thin crust + provel cheese + sausage, cut into squares".

If only it was just provolone...provel is some insane concoction of provolone + swiss + possibly some other cheese (wiki says cheddar, some people say mozzarella, I thought I heard it was just the first two). If you weren't born in the St. Louis area, you abhor it, but if you were born here, you might've been brain-washed to think it's edible. It's the primary reason I am afraid to go to Italian restaurants, as many will sub this in to dishes (i.e. chicken parm).

A little upscale - they have fantastic food, and always have a good list of beers on tap. Last time I went, this included beers such as Dogfishhead 90 minute IPA and Palo Santo Marron, LaChouffe (a Belgian), and a bunch that I forget, including Dark Horse, Bells, and Left Hand.

Also awesome - and cheaper, and more down-to-earth (although it's a chain spanning most of Ohio as well as some other places) - is Dewey's pizza - they have fantastic pizzas, and also always have a great tap list that rotates quite frequently, so that I usually get to try something new.

Super tasty Mexican food, Mexican beer on tap, tasty cocktails (one of the bartenders likes to experiment; best so far was a ginger vodka + lemon + mint concoction), a back deck with flowers and blue Christmas lights for nice days, excellent music generally in the swing and Sinatra end of the spectrum. Dark and intimate; the owner is super gothy and has a DJ playing industrial and electronic music on full moons. One of the bartenders plays cribbage with us on slow nights! Straight up delicious bar food, with daily specials that are absolutely worth ordering every time. Fantastic bacon. About 20 beers on tap at all times, and they're all good (wine and cocktails as well, but not as good). Spire Dark & Dry Cider on permatap and I drink it like water. Almost always soul and motown on the stereo. My brother calls it an "old people Wedgwood bar" but I love it (as does he, as they don't give him the stinkeye for getting Cokes instead of beers, and it's a bar you can talk at). Nearly every Wednesday night I am here!

I know where the bars you speak of are, but I've never been inside them. I'm not a big fan of bars, or restaurants, but if there is a Chicago-area meet-up of AFH/AFHk/friends/provisional clan members, I could stop being so darn cheap.

3) The bars around here are all crappy, but Taj Okinawa (544-5 Kokutai-Kinen Rd, Chatan-Cho, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan) has awesome Indian food, and handily kicks the asses of the local curries.

Also, the beaches here on Oki are pretty nice, I'm told. You should all come visit.

Yes please! I travelled Japan with friends at the end of last year, and loved it.

Only got as far south as Nagasaki though, island hopping is a must-do for next time (unfortunately unlikely for a while for monetary reasons, and wanting to experience hanami and visiting Himeji castle when it isn't covered up by a huge tarp ><).
