Another sad confession

Post by unwieldy locutions » Fri Mar 05, 2010 6:35 pm

So, my fiancee and I are shopping. I, as per usual, am manning the list. I looked down on the way from one store to another and saw "tomato (one or two)." The first thought in my head, simultaneous with seeing tomato, was that I needed it for potions and maybe spaghetti filler. I'm not sure that's okay.

Heh. That's good stuff. Like the dreams I used to have of finding lost super-valuable Magic The Gathering cards in my attic. (I didn't even have an attic.) Or the time when I was really into D&D and was tempted to roll a d20 to see how a hypothetical situation I'd just posed would turn out.

I play magic the gathering. I have dreams about playing cards all the time. One time i was dreaming about being a KoL stick figure. So no worries, one time i was bored at a restaurant and wrote out my pull list for my next day haha, actually I do that all the time when I am bored. But I saw alice last night and everytime certain things came up I had to think of the new IotM and the new content =P

I have two co-workers named Steve and Dave, who often collaborate on projects (and happen to be really good). Whenever I look up the owner of a feature and see "Steve/Dave", I always think, "Man, that feature is going to be superior."

Have you ever had the opportunity in a meeting to go, "You tell 'em, Steve Dave!"

You may have heard this story before, but last semester I was at a party and engaged in semi-intimate oral relationships with a fellow party-er, and the entire time all I could think about was slime tubing. KoL slime tubing. Engulfed. You tickle the uvala. Slime mouths. Mother Slime extends a slimy pseudopod, licks it with a slimy tongue. And, of course, wanting chamois.

That was the point at which I decided I was spending too much time playing KoL.

Sadly, Steve is now in a different group, so I've lost my window.

No, but every year when its Christmas I keep on thinking about what Uncle Cimbo is going to bring me this year. And when i was talking to my little brother I asked him what he thought Uncle Santa was going to bring him, and just kinda stared as well.

More than once. Should I be bothered that Crimbo means more to me than Christmas?

I didn't wish a happy Crimbo, but I did end up calling Christmas Crimbo 98% of the time. I got a lot of askance glances, but my family probably thought it was just me trying to be weird or cute or something.

My co-worker signs things with her initials (HCB) and I read it as hardcore boozetafarian 100% of the time.

People on facebook keep posting their FOJ plans, and I am routinely disappointed that they are only plans for Independence Day.

I read that as "Feast of Jarlsberg". Probably because FOJ always means that in KOL, and I've never seen 4th of July abbreviated "FOJ".

My stepdaughter came home from daycare today with a paper fortune teller. The first thing I thought was "the pilgrim shield gives much better stats..."

Limes were on sale at the grocery store the other night, and I got a little bit excited.

Then I felt like an idiot. :monkey:

See, that makes me excited because I always have limes in the fridge for purposes of this thread.

I think I posted this somewhere else already, but:

Earlier this year on vacation, while touring the Notre Dame de Paris, instead of thinking about the Gothic architecture or the history of the place or the use of light or the power of religion or etc etc etc, I was trying to figure out the ideal pull list for 2-day budgetcore.

When I was in Paris, I mostly was thinking about when I would get really drunk.... Yeah that was towards the end of my time in Europe. Thinking about pull lists is slightly better than that, at least.

Most definitely. I don't remember any specific ones off the top of my head though.

I don't think I've ever had a dream about KoL, but I did have a dream featuring Jick and Hotstuff once. I think Jick was berating HS, which makes sense.
