Open link in new tab/window

Post by Eevilcat » Sun Sep 19, 2010 9:43 am

Is there some way to change the forum so that clicking on a link opens it in a new tab/window rather than in the current tab/window (thus losing track of where I am in the hell forum). I had a look in my account settings but couldn't find anything so assume it has to be done at a global level. Every other forum I frequent opens links in a new tab/window so that's pretty standard and less annoying behaviour. Cheers.

Unfortunately, phpBB decided that they want to be compatible with some useless set of web standards, which means they went out of their way to make the forum software not able to do that. It might be possible for me or DaDuke to edit that feature in, but it wouldn't be easy.

No worries, I will remember to right click until phpBB realise the error of their ways.

I ctrl-click, which I find to be pretty painless.

I go forward and then back, working my way down the forum, which is also pretty painless!
