Hey guys, Just wanted to say that I'm hella looking forward to this contest, It seems like it's going to be a ton of fun and I hope that I can win This is also my first ever attempt at a speed ascension!

I wish I had made this thread earlier, so that someone could have reminded me to get some wrecked generators to drink in-run. Oh well. I'm doing my ascension as a AT Vole Sign with an astral shirt.
On day one, I intend to pull my:

• OPS
• Juju Mask
• Fossilized Necklace
• Dreadlock Whip
• Carnivore Button
• Milks
• a key lime pie
• Bartender/chef in a box
• Meat Maid

Afterwards, I'm going to fax and YR a sleepy mariachi for a spanglecrow, and tome summon an ur-doughnut, a fondue and a bucket o' wine.

Running a detuned radio, BBB, Dreadlock whip, fondid, and carnivore button gives me a TON of +ML, I hope I can handle it >_>
pumpkin beers and pies will do me good for turngen, and hopefully pulling things like the ore for the mountain quest will save me turns aswell.

Am I forgetting anything? Any suggestions are welcomed.

Pull a clockwork pirate skull rather than a meat maid, you can then untinker it for an eyepatch which you need for the pirates and then build a clockwork maid which gives more adventures than a meat maid. Since you're vole you can just buy the stuff needed in the gnoll to build the maid.

Pull spangly pants if you're using that. A fax is worth more than a pull, especially with the yellow ray cost added in.

Hello there, fellow softcore competitor! =D

I'm just curious, but I'm not sure why you spent so many turns in the Sleazy Back Alley. That area is pretty bad for stats, and the only conceivable reason I would spend some turns there would be to unlock the Guild.

Also, stomping the creatures in the low level areas for paste is probably better than stomping the demons in Hey Deze, but then again, maybe I'm thinking too much and you didn't have enough Boots charges to stomp in the Spooky Forest or the Outskirts. =P

1) I don't think you should be pulling more than one milk of magnesium on day 1. Assuming no impetuous, the first one generates 10 turns, the second 5 turns (unless you pull melange) - in which case you would be better off pulling a blank-out, since 5 free runaways are generally better than 5 turns generated.

2) Calle de miel...? I think you should avoid drinking ACs if you can, but in no circumstances should you be pulling them. Just wait longer to drink and pull SHCs or wrecked generators instead. If you have a lot of trouble reaching level targets on day 1, consider pulling an Uncle Crimbo's Rations that give a ton of substats and 150 turns of +5 substats per combat. They're somewhat expensive, but not that much.

3) It's important to have a plan, so you know how many days your run will take, about how many turns you need to generate, and how many pulls you have available. I see you tried to get liver - what is your targetted number of days, and do you need liver to make it? If you don't need liver, spending turns there is a waste. You also need to be able to reevaluate your plan as you go along: if you know it takes you X turns to get liver, and at the end of day 1 you don't have X turns on liver, you have to ask yourself: will liver still be worth it if I get it on day 2? If it isn't, you can spend those turns elsewhere.

Hopefully I'm not coming across too harshly. I just want to help!

Hmm I guess my title is a bit misleading, I thought each separate day was supposed to be a separate log.
The turns spent in the sleazy back alley were an accident on my part, I thought that mafia was going to tell me when I had stolen my own pants but it didn't and I realized that after I had spent too many turns there =/

My goal is to do do at least a 4 day ascension, and I always thought that if you were going for more than a couple days it was worth it to get Liver, but now that I think about it, the turns spent on getting it may make it better just to skip it. I might end up skipping it this run if it will speed meup at all.

I don't have access to SHCs so AC's are all that I can get, I forgot to stock hangks with them before I embarked on my run.

Seeing as how this run was kind of poorly planned, I'm probably going to give it another shot after I finish this run, and prepare WAY more for it.

Doing a practice run is a good idea.

On a 4 day run, you have plenty of pulls to use on consumables, so if you don't have the consumption skills you should definitely stock up Hagnk with some good stuff. You can make a diet plan ahead of time to know what you need to stock up on. Also, don't forget to eat key lime pies - they don't generate that many turns but save you a lot of turns.

Try and try again!

I'd use a clover in the guano junction to get your first two sonars. Use them, then go to beanbat chamber until you get an enchanted bean. If you still need sonar #3, switch to ratbat burrow.
